Crisp, clean pages with no owners' marks or bookplate; except for a few little scratches in the gilding along the top edge of the page block, mild darkening along the spine, and spots of shelf rubbing at the tips of the free corners, otherwise excellent. 316pp. Full red leather, gilt titles and decoration, bound-in ribbon markers, decorative endpapers, all page edges gilded, "Notes from History" insert laid in. From "The Leather-Bound Library of American History" series.
