Signed and dated on the title page "Paris July 20, 1949" by author Otto Friedrich while he was in Europe on the staff of "Stars and Stripes." Pages toned; spine toned with wear and creases, touch of soiling. Tight copy. Very Good condition with a contemporary rice paper dustwrapper (not issued as such). Friedrich's books include Decline and Fall (1970), an account of the demise of "The Saturday Evening Post" which won the George Polk Award. Signed by Owner. First Edition. Soft Cover.
