Inscribed to Ralph Kilpin (a well known Clerk of Parliament) and signed by W E Gladstone Solomon, Saul Solomon's son (dated: Nov 1948). Included: A handwritten letter to the Africana specialist, Dr Frank Bradlow from Daisy Solomon (the daughter of Saul Solomon). Also included is a booklet, "Symbols of Unity, Strength and Stability" published / issued by The South African Mutual Life Assurance Society/ Cape Town Chamber of Commerce. A placid copy. The dustjacket has a clear plastic protective cover. The dustjacket itself is a little marked and worn from shelving and handling. It is comfortable and sure. The boards are scuffed. They are yet healthy and sound. The papertrims are foxed. Within, the contents are mild-mannered. There is foxing about some pages.
