Lightly rubbed on bottom edges of cloth, else very good, tight, bright copy in price-clipped dust jacket, lightly sunned on the spine. An excellent novel from a leading writer of the "hard-boiled" school of fiction. Dr. Tom Owen, with the help of Helen Reasonover Curtis, was well on his way to becoming the most prominent surgeon in Pittsburgh. It was Lasher, Owen's young nurse that he fell in love with. In love with one woman and deeply attracted to another ... one of them the fiancee of a close friend .... both of them his benefactresses. Dr. Owen was lost in the mists of conflict and confusion. An engrossing and absorbing story!
