Portland, ME: G W Morris, 1895 Quite scarce oblong and string-tied photo book. 12" x 9" with 40 pages of photos, all but 2 which are the Notch renderings by H.B. Brown that he was contracted to paint by the MCRR. in/around 1890. Undated, brown cover sheet with Cog RR car & 'Old Peppersass' pushing it up the grade, A classic White Mountains scene. Some light folds to covers and mild foxing to first page, contents nice and near fine. Later titled "The Grandeur of the White Mountains" with Scenic Gems of the White Mountains as title page, published a year or 2 later with more pages of photos. This is the earliest state of that photo book by Morris. . First. Bagged & Boarded for Posterity.
