Mit 26 Originalaufnahmen und einer nur für dieses Werk unter der Leitung des Verfassers hergestellten Schallplatte mit den ersten veröffentlichten Tonaufnahmen afrikanischer Tiere. Tonfolge der Platte -- Vorderseite: Der Glanzstar singt sein Abendlied; Affenhorde von Mantelpavianen schreit und quietscht beim Einrücken in die Schlafplätze; Lachtaubengurren; Eintöniger Gesang der Suahelineger; Geheul der gefleckten Hyäne; Schakale winseln; Hyänen lachen am Frass; Fernes Löwengebrüll. Ruckseite: Gesang der Neger; Elefanten trompeten an der Tränke im Busch; Löwen brüllen aus nächster Nähe wütend beim Riss einer Antilope; Negergesang beginnt wieder,erst zaghaft,dann lauter,um die Furcht zu übertönen; Schakalgewinsel und Hyänenlachen ertönt beim Streit um die Reste des Löwenmahles. First Edition, 1933. Bowed front board with lightly soiled cloth 1/2"-3/4" closed tears to top edge spine joint, but does not effect biinding, else, Pristine Interior. Clean, tight and strong binding with no underlining, highlighting or marginalia. Original publisher's yellow cloth with green lettering to front board, and record in original publisher's sleeve at back.
