Ostrander in Mt. Vernon, N.Y., by Louis Herbert Lucas; a house for P. H. Van Riper at Montclair, N.j., by W. Q. Lockwood; a cottage at Portchester; a house for Clarence H. Eagle on Long Island by Bassett Jones; a block of 7 row houses, Richter Terrace, in Brookline, Mass. by Fehmer & Page; a house for J. A. Richards in Montclair, N.J., by Edward J. Hapgood; a house for Miss Appleby in Asbury Park, N.J., by T. A. Roberts; a house for H. C. Southwick in Larchmont Manor, N.Y., by Frank E. Wallis; and the Wesleyan chapel in West Kirby, England. Also contains drawings of the Triumphal Arch in Timegad, Algeria, before and after an imagined restoration. Scarce. In Fair Condition: lacking back wrapper and color plates; small dampstain along gutter of front wrapper and first leaf; front wrapper is soiled, with chipping along spine and loss at tail of spine; faint dampstain at upper edge of first 2 leaves; minor chipping at upper edges; otherwise, clean and solid.

The inside margin of a book, connecting the pages to the joints near the binding.
Chipping
A defect in which small pieces are missing from the edges; fraying or small pieces of paper missing the edge of a paperback, or...

Soiled
