Corners a little worn and slight chipping to paper covering of front joint at head and tail; small piece chipped from front end-paper with loss, in all, of about three words of advertisement; front end-papers a little foxed with offsetting onto title-page; otherwise a very nice copy. The first yellowback edition of Grant’s last work issued originally in cloth in 1888, the year after his death, (but dated 1889). NSTC, 0918751; not in Sadleir or Wolff.
