Hellman's memoir about the Joseph McCarthy era, when she was brought before the House Un-American Activities Committee (HUAC). "One of a special edition reserved for the friends of the author and Little, Brown and Company."

155 pages. With a 32-page introduction by Garry Wills. First edition (first printing). Spine somewhat faded, else a fine hardcover copy in the original unprinted acetate jacket which is missing a small piece at one corner. Signed by Hellman as issued.
