About This Item

Boston: Little, Brown and Company. Near Fine in Very Good+ dj. (c.1976). First Edition. Hardcover. (quarter blue cloth over tan cloth covers, with author's name embossed in gold script on front cover; in original clear jacket, as issued) [minimal shelfwear to book, but with some fading to the spine cloth; jacket shows some light surface wear and is slightly scrunched at the upper front hinge]. (B&W photographs) SIGNED by the author (on inscription) on a page preceding the title page, stating this to be "one of a special edition reserved for the friends of the author and Little, Brown and Company." The last of the author's autobiographical trilogy, this one recounting her experiences during the blacklist years of the 1950s, including her famously defiant testimony before the House Committee on Un-American Activities. NOTE that the scanned image accompanying this listing is of the book without its jacket. Signed by Author .

About ReadInk

Now in our 24th year of on-line bookselling, ReadInk offers an eclectic selection of quality books in a variety of subject areas. We are dedicated to the first-class treatment of every book we sell and its new owner (our customer). All orders and inquiries receive our prompt, personal attention. Our grading of a book's condition is conservative ("Fine" is our highest grade, and used sparingly); all significant flaws are described, but we will be happy to provide additional information and/or a scanned image upon request. Your book will be shipped promptly, well-wrapped and securely packaged; the dust jacket, if any, will be enclosed in a new Brodart cover.
