Clean red illustrated covers and lightly sunned illustrated spine, bevelled edges, light wear on lower front edge. Sound binding. Christmas gift note on darkened front end-paper. Clean and bright colour frontis and title page, pages are darkened but are otherwise clean. Text is generally in 3 columns and includes many black and white illustrations and period advertisements as well as stories, anecdotes, information, puzzles etc. No dust-jacket.
