Hardcover, original marbled boards half bound with leather to corners and spine. Exterior is untreated in leather shows quite a bit of wear, particularly at edges and corners. Marbled paper covered boards show scuffing with loss to the paper on the rear board, upper outside corner. The internal binding of the text pages is good with pages being tight. There is a hinge crack at the front board though the rear board seems unaffected. Pages are toned due to age and minor foxing is present throughout there is a dampstain which appears along the extreme top edge of many of the pages in the biggest issue for the lower condition grade of fair is because both the front end page and title page have a rectangle cut out. Scribner & Co., January 1880. Hardcover. Used - Very Good. This 1880 Green Harback is in excellent condition, Clean and very solid. The pages are clean & crisp and the binding is loosening, but still securely bound. There is rubbing to all of the outer edges and lower edge, with a small piece missing at the bottom of the spine. There is also fading at the edge of the paper from age. No other marks, rips, tears, stains or writing. Ready to ship with delivery confirmation.
