Boards slightly canted, but a sturdy, unmarked copy, with the delightful bookplate of William G. Gerhard, which features a hot air balloon (Gerhard appears to have been an aviation enthusiast). In a good or slightly better pictorial dust jacket, with a large chip at the crown and other light wear. Very uncommon in the lively dust jacket. A possibly fictionalized telling of the author's exploits as a reconnaisance pilot during World War I.
