Verlaine lived and wrote during the latter half of the nineteenth century. Translated from the French by Doris-Jeanne Gourevitch. Translator has written a long introduction on the problems in translating Verlaine; this is followed by the poems. French and English translation are on facing pages. Bibliography. .
