Sense and Sensibility by Jane Austen - 1900

London, New York: Macmillan and Co., Limited , 1900 A very good copy in art nouveau style half vellum binding. This is the third reprint of the very popular Austen edition with Hugh Thomson illustrations. The binding has decorative title and date labels and a flower and leaf design to the spine. The boards have a pale green cloth. Top page edges gilt. Endpapers lightly marbled and with the decorative bookplate of Sybil Hurst to the fep. Contents are complete with introduction by Austin Dobson. The original silk page marker is loose in the book. The binding has slight darkening to the spine and a small cloth bubble at the bottom of the front board. Internally in very good clean condition with slight marking to the bottom corners of pp 80/81.
