The first publicly available edition of this literary classic, following private publication in 1926 and the limited edition of 1935. Winston Churchill believed that it 'ranks with the greatest books ever written in the English language'. The work also formed the basis of David Lean's multiple Oscar-winning feature film 'Lawrence of Arabia' starring Peter O'Toole and Omar Sharif. Enser, p.191; O'Brien A042.

Synopsis

Seven Pillars of Wisdom is the autobiographical account of the experiences of British soldier T. E. Lawrence ("Lawrence of Arabia"), while serving as a liaison officer with rebel forces during the Arab Revolt against the Ottoman Turks of 1916 to 1918.
