Melbourne: Lansdowne Editions, 1979. First Edition. Keith Mitchell. Collection of twelve of Shakespeare's finest sonnets selected by the great Shaekspearian actor, Keith Mitchell. Limited edition of five hundred copies numbered and signed by the artist.
‘What is your substance, whereof are you made,
that millions of strange shadows on you tend?
Since every one hath, every one, one shade,
and you, but one, can every shadow lend.
Describe Adonis - and the counterfeit
is poorly imitated after you;
On Helen's cheek all art of beauty set-
and you in Grecian tires are painted new;
speak of the spring and foison of the year,
the one doth shadow of your beauty show,
the other as your bounty doth appear,
and you in every blessed shape we know.
In all external grace you have some part,
but you like none, none you, for constant heart.'
SONNET 53. Folio, bound in full black morocco with gilt decoration, 35 cm x 44.5 cm, 47 pages, 25 lithographs, a near fine copy.

Incorrect book/not as described/damaged: You are eligible for a full refund of the purchase price, including original shipping costs, if your return is a result of an error on the part of Rare Illustrated Books. If we agree, you will receive return shipping too. To receive a refund, you must return your item directly to Rare Illustrated Books within 14 days of the estimated delivery date and in the same condition as you received it.

If Rare Illustrated Books provides tracking information indicating the book has arrived, the return is void. In cases where the book is returned to Rare Illustrated Books for any of the following reasons, the refund price includes book price only: incomplete address provided by customer, unclaimed, returned to sender, or similar.
Change of mind: For the majority of our books, we are happy to accept returns if you have changed your mind. However, some books cannot be returned for this reason.
