First edition hard back binding in publisher's original cardinal red cloth covers, black title and author lettering to the spine. 8vo. 7½'' x 5¼''. Contains 103 printed pages of text. Very little wear to the covers, cheap paper browning, ink message dated 1946 to the front free end paper. Very Good condition book in Very Good condition dust wrapper, not price clipped. Dust wrapper supplied in archive acetate film protection, this preserves and prolongs the life of the paper, it is not adhered to the book or to the dust wrapper. Member of the P.B.F.A.

London: Psychic Book Club. Apparently 1st Ed. . Blue Boards. G-VG/No Jacket. 12.5 Cm x 18.5 Cm. Introduction by C. Drayton Thomas dated 1940 and was probably issued in the monthly Psychic Book Club series later that year or the next. 192 pp.; faint brown patches, occ. heavier, from front endpaper through to c.p.11 otherwise clean, tight and unmarked (bar 3 tiny initials top back endpaper), covers clean and virtually unworn bar short nick top spine. The eponymous 'Shining Brother' is St. Francis. Author was an architect who devoted last years of his career to church building and restoration, with spiritual guidance (via seances) from St. Francis. Note: quoted shipping rates are calculated for 500-700 gram net weight, cost will be modified up or down as appropriate outside this range.
