With numerous black & white engraved illustrations by five different artists. Advice and information is provided on a wide variety of topics: hunting various species such as deer, waterfowl, and other birds, swivel guns, law as applied to shooting and poaching, etc. The authors were assisted by Lord Lovat and Lord Charles Kerr. An entry in the publisher's series: The Badminton Library of Sports and Pastimes. --- In full brown cloth-covered boards with illustrations, decorations and titling in black, gilt, and silver. --- The rear cover and spine had separated from the textblock, but were carefully re-attached prior to this listing; volume with spine lean, and with prior owner's signature to front free endpaper, cover chafing and rubbing; otherwise binding is tight and stable.; Small Octavo (7-1/2 to 8 in. tall); xiii, 348 pages .
