With chapters on Charles A Spencer and his successors, The Grunow Brothers of New Haven, Joseph Zentmayer of Philadelphia, Robert B. Tolles and the Boston Optical Works, Chicago Makers (Bulloch and McIntosh), Bausch and Lomb of Rochester NY, Acme Optical Works of Lancaster PA and James W. Queen of Philadelphia, and a last chapter on another 20 or so makers or designers.
