Short Stories (In Sunshine and Shadow)

by Poe, Edgar Allan & Mabel Dodge Holmes (editor)

Condition: Very Good

River Forest, Illinois: Laidlaw Brothers. Very Good. 1958. 2nd Printing. Hardcover. Hardcover, no dustjacket, a rather scarce school edition, brown cloth with off-white title on front cover and spine, 247 pages, with illustrations, including a frontis portrait of the author and an end-paper map, "Classics for Enjoyment" printed above the title on title page, contains thirteen stories, a short biography of Poe, and a "Thoughts and Queries" section, book is clean and attractive with a few minor flaws: mild rubbing to the corners of the cloth, a school library stamp on the inside of the front cover, and a section of the margin of page 119 was apparently burnt off, this has not affected any of the text .
