Charles Scribner's Sons. Good with no dust jacket. 1920. First Edition. Hardcover. First edition, first printing (April 1920 publishing date and no subsequent lines). Binding a little weak, with webbing showing at front hinge, and some separation elsewhere. Pages unmarked, uncreased and unstained, but slightly tanned. Small tears at the bottom of pp. 193-196 (bad cutting, probably). Dark cloth cover has some wear to corners and spine tips. Spine title clean. No dustjacket. .

Synopsis

This Side of Paradise is the debut novel of F. Scott Fitzgerald. Published in 1920, and taking its title from a line of the Rupert Brooke poem Tiare Tahiti, the book examines the lives and morality of post-World War I youth. Its protagonist, Amory Blaine, is an attractive Princeton University student who dabbles in literature and has the book's theme of love warped by greed and status-seeking.
