The first edition SIGNED BY THE AUTHOR on title page. The author published the book to introduce, or reintroduce, the scenic wonders of the Arrow Lakes area of British Columbia. He has written a history of the region, probably the only one for this area. The book has many vintage photographs, and includes genealogical information for the settlers, and more recent inhabitants. The epilogue has a biographical sketch of Brig-Gen. Frederick W.E. Burnham, as well as a collection of colourized photographs. A near fine copy with trace shelf wear.

A fine copy of this third volume in the Centennial Series in commemoration of the 100th anniversary of Nakusp, 1892-1992 focusing on the northern Arm of the upper Arrow Lake, which includes the rise and fall of the towns of Comaplix, Galena Bay, Beaton, Sidmouth and Arrowhead. It ends in 1968 with the flooding for the Hugh Keenleyside dam. Illustrated throughout with b/w photographs. This is a heavy book and will require additional shipping charges (at cost). . Signed.
