About This Item

London: Sidgwick & Jackson, 1989. First Edition. Hard Cover. Dust Jacket. Signed by Author. First UK Edition. SIGNED COPY. Publisher's black boards with gilt spine lettering. A touch of foxing to the top and fore-edges otherwise a near fine copy in like D/W with only the very slightest of fading to the spine. Please note that there is no fading to the purple portions at the top and bottom of the spine with the most minimal fading to the ceramic tile portion of the spine. The Silver Pigs D/W is very prone to spine-fading and this copy is significantly less faded than normally encountered. SIGNED BY THE AUTHOR ON THE TITLE PAGE. The Author's first Marcus Didius Falco mystery. Note: It was reported in the press in November 2019 that ITV is in advanced development on a sweeping adaptation of Lindsey Davis' Falco Roman private detective novels after the project was originally slated for the BBC. Mammoth Screen will make the series, and is in negotiations with ITV over the number episodes, casting and the production budget. It is being overseen by ITV head of drama Polly Hill. Guy Andrews is adapting the novels for TV (in close consultation with the Author). Photographs/scans available upon request
