SIX O'CLOCK CASUAL

by Henry W. Clune

  • Hardcover
MacMillan Publishing Company. Fair in Fair dust jacket. 1960. Hardcover. Includes the book and jacket. The book is well read, comes from a book club and they printed out and attached a sheet on the first and last blank pages. Front one has a list of the members and dates of passing. The rear one has book club rules and a list of books and authors (27). I believe this list is from 60-61. The first few pages have some damage, chunk from bottom of half title page, some holes near the top of the next few pages. Gutter split at the title page. The jacket has mild to moderate shelf rub with heavier edge wear and short tears. Art still presents nicely. ; 8.40 X 5.80 X 1.30 inches .

Multiple chips, tears and creases to jacket, front jacket flap clipped with price intact. Cloth spine toned, top page ridge and endpapers lightly foxed. Related article laid in. 1960 Hard Cover. 346 pp. Memory dies hard in a small town , and when Ellen Rood's reckless young husband was killed in a stunt car accident she left her home town of Blainesville and found a larger stage for her beauty in New York. There ensconced in a small apartment, a procession of men of all ages enlivened her cocktail hour and dulled the remembrance of things past. But when she became too involved with one of her rich admirers, whose intentions did not include marriage, Ellen went back to the home of her poor, but fiercely self-respecting parents in Blainesville.
