His various train robberies, his death, and accounts of his gang and their history. He was perhaps the most notorious Texas outlaw of the 1870s. However, he wasn't much of an outlaw for he was no gunman, nor a killer. Only four years after he became an outlaw, he was shot by Texas Rangers in Round Rock, Texas, in 1878.
