About This Item

London: Jonathan Cape, 1985. Hardcover. Fine/Fine. First English edition. Gentle bump at the crown else fine in two copies of a fine dust jacket. (The jacket laminate has a thin vertical ripple along the spine, a minor binding error that seems to be common to this title.).

Synopsis

Slow Learner is the 1984 published collection of six early novellas by the American novelist Thomas Pynchon. The book is also notable for its introduction, written by Pynchon. His comments on the stories after reading them again for the first time in many years, and his recollection of the events surrounding their creation, amount to the author's only autobiographical comments to his readers.
