London: Country Life, 1914. Hardcover. Good. 8 1/2 x 11 1/2 in. xxxii, 204 pp, 16 pp publisher's catalogue. Red cloth boards with gilt lettering. Second or third edition, 1912 being the first. Numerous B&W photos and plans. Condition is GOOD ; corners and ends of spine worn, covers clean with mild sunning and one spot to front. Spine sunned and gilt lettering faint, gilt on cover very good. Upper exterior hinge shows one inch crack and all of rear hinge shows cracking. The binding remains solid except at end of pgs with roman numerals, where a split can bee seen. Text is clean, tissue present over the color frontis, which has a tiny tear at one corner where it's detached from glue. Rear of half title pg has been kept in place with early plastic tape repair, striped red endpapers show two spots each where tape took off some of their surface. A scarce early edition in tolerable condition. Arch. Stax.
