This is Louis L'Amour's first book, which is a collection of poetry, written before his western novels. Copyright 1939, published by Lusk Publishing Company (Oklahoma City, OK). Book is signed and inscribed by the author on the front endpaper. Stated "First Edition" on the copyright page. The dust jacket is actually a copy/reprint on low quality paper and is not of value, however, it does protect the boards. Gilt stamped title on the front board, no title on the spine. Green hardcover shows wear to include edgewear, shelfwear, scratches, nicks, and some speckles on the bottom of the spine. One of the middle signatures shows a noticeable line down the textblock that is best seen from the topedge. The front pastedown and endpaper are tanned from newspaper articles being left inside the book. Aside from the signature and inscription to a previous owner on the front endpaper, there is no writing. Overall, it is in Very Good condition.
