Tokyo: Kokusai Bunka Shinkokai, 1937. [20p.], slender booklet, second edition, ex-library with card pocket and the usual markings; a reading copy only. Yamada was kidnapped and sent from Japan to Seattle to become a prostitute in 1897. After escape and conversion to Christianity in San Francisco, she became a well-known women's rights activist. She was invited to meet Eleanor Roosevelt in the same year this booklet was published.
