xi+193 pages with illustrations and reproductions. Octavo (8" x 5 1/4") issued in wrappers. Prolog by Miguel Herrero. (Not in Bibliotheca van der Linde-Niemeijeriana) (Kruijswijk, Bibliotheca van der Linde - Niemeijeriana aucta, 1222). Limited to 1400 copies. First edition.
Although this is a bibliography of Spanish books in chess and checkers of the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries, it also covers other bibliographic works such as the early works of in the Sixteenth Century published in Spanish which were translated for Italian. There are other bibliographic works as well. The work has the title pages of chess works in reproduction.
Condition:
Some light edge wear, spine heal chipped, some pages unread else a very good to fine copy.
