About This Item
New York: Simon & Schuster, 1978. First Edition, First Printing. . Hardcover. Near Fine/Very Good. An early novel (the eighth) from the Pulitzer Prize-winning McMurtry, "Somebody's Darling" is set in Hollywood's movie and celebrity scene and features Jill, a talented film director, and the two men who love her -- Owen, former Texas football star, who wants to be a producer, and Joe, an older screenwriter, who long ago abandoned any ambitions. Top and fore edge of text show some light foxing, spine ends a slight bit of wear o/w text and boards are clean and unmarked, tight and square. The dustjacket shows only some minor edgewear including a tiny closed tear in the front panel's top edge near the spine, no other tears, no chipping, not price-clipped. Collectable.
