Description:
London: The Readers Library Publishing Company Ltd.. Very Good+ in Near Fine dj. [1928]. First Edition Thus. Hardcover. [modest wear to book, small tear in fore-edge of first text page; jacket shows only minor wear at edges and extremities]. (Readers Library, no. 204) Series British version of a "photoplay edition," in a small format (about the size of a mass market paperback). A novelization of the Paramount historical adventure film OLD IRONSIDES, which was released in the U.S. in 1926, this particular edition -- for whatever reason -- does NOT contain any bound-in stills, nor does the jacket art specifically reference the movie (except for the words "Paramount Picture"); internally, the film is mentioned only briefly, in the last paragraph of the "Editor's Note."
