Boston: James Loring, General Sabbath School Depository, 132 Washington St., 1832., 1832.. Good. - 32 mo, 6 inches high by 3-5/8 inches wide. Light greenish-gray boards backed with a black cloth spine, titled with rules in gilt on the spine. The covers are rubbed and soiled with wear to the edges. 108 pages, illustrated with a wood-engraved frontispiece of a ship under sail signed "AB" [possibly Abel Bowen]. The endpapers and front & rear blanks are darkened. Several page corners are creased and there is occasional faint foxing throughout. Good.

First edition. In addition to "The Sorrows of Rover", the book includes "Elias Wilson. By Allan Cunningham" - p. [96]-105, and "Reproof from a child" - p. [106]-108.
