The editor, Winifred Stephens (1870-1944), author and translator, was born Sophia Charlotte Winifred Stephens [and later published under Mrs. Winifred Stephens Whale].

An anthology of art and literature, including contributions G. K. Chesterton, Maurice Baring, Igor Stravinsky, Arnold Bennett, Hugh Walpole, and a number of Russian authors. Text includes an appendix, printing several poems in the original Russian. White cloth is moderately soiled (with a few very small, dark soil spots), spine is lightly tanned, scattered foxing to text, else a very good copy (illustrations are quite fresh and clean).
