Also laid in is a 4pp ALs dated Nov 6th, 1959 from Charles M. Wynne of Somerset to an unnamed correspondent and a 14pp document in Wynne's hand containing "extracts from letters of Captain W. R. C. Wynne, R. E. , relating to his service in the Zulu War, between November 1878 and March, 1879." Captain Warren Richard Colvin Wynne, Brevet-Major, Royal Engineers, whose portrait appears facing page 75, died at Fort Pearson, on the Natal frontier, on April 9th, 1879.
