Spine neatly re-glued; spine ends and corners modestly worn pp96 signature neatly reinserted, lacking map of Zululand, else very good with map of Isandhlwana and 60 Permanent Cabinet Photographs of the Officers of the British Army and Navy lost in the Zulu War. Also laid in is a 4pp ALs dated Nov 6th, 1959 from Charles M. Wynne of Somerset to an unnamed correspondent and a 14pp document in Wynne's hand containing "extracts from letters of Captain W. R. C. Wynne, R. E. , relating to his service in the Zulu War, between November 1878 and March, 1879." Captain Warren Richard Colvin Wynne, Brevet-Major, Royal Engineers, whose portrait appears facing page 75, died at Fort Pearson, on the Natal frontier, on April 9th, 1879. Natal, Griqualand West, Zulu. This letter is written on yellow lined paper. .
