About This Item
Moscow: Foreign Languages Publishing House Circa 1959. Text in English - translated from the Russian by Xenia Danko. Illustrated with black and white photographs. [By Way of Epilogue]: "No attempt has been made to deal comprehensively with all that has been written by Soviet composers: the author strove to select works possessing the greatest artistic value and most representative of Soviet music, to use them as examples in tracing the development of Soviet music during the forty-odd years that have elapsed since the October Revolution of 1917." Lightly bumped on front lower corner, attached bookmark frayed on free end, occasional small smudge, four red numbers stamped on bottom of last page, else very good plus. Binding firm but spine loose- fitting so feels slightly shaken. Overall, very good plus. DJ moderately chipped and rubbed along top and bottom edge, folds creased - overall, poor. Protected in mylar.. Hard Cover. Very Good Plus/Poor. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
