Light grey linen, gilt titles on spine, xii, 148 pp, 2 maps, 35 ff plates (4 in color, including frontispiece), notes, index. Edges of boards slightly faded, corners and spine ends lightly bumped, somewhat musty. DJ spine slightly faded, joints & edges rubbed, small chips and tears to spine ends and corners (one corner taped), long but neat scarf tear across most of front panel; in Brodart archival cover. From the introduction: "...it has been my attempt to proceed from province to province of the entire country dealing with its monuments in turn, and with no particular emphasis upon their date and style. ... I have attempted, also, to set the buildings in the landscape, and where appropriate have described the local festivals and costume." Shipping weight 2 lbs.. 3rd ptg. . VG+/G. 22 X 14½ cm.

Books are offered subject to prior sale. You may return any book within 14 days for a refund; if it was not as described, we will also refund return shipping costs (but please e-mail us first). You can place credit card orders through Biblio, or we will ship upon receipt of payment by check or money order. Sales tax is collected by Biblio and remitted directly to your state, where applicable. SHIPPING IN UNITED STATES: Books are priced postpaid, so there are no additional shipping charges for standard shipping. We will ship via Priority Mail for $12.00 per order (Save on multiple-book orders!). This may be reduced if actual postage is less than for a medium flat-rate box. INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING: In most cases, shipping via Biblio's consolidated shipping program via Asendia is the cheapest option on orders up to 5 lbs. If the actual cost of shipping is more than the automatically quoted rate, you must approve the additional charges before the order will be shipped.
