Ottawa: Maclean Roger & Co., 1886. Edition Not Stated. Paper Wraps. Very Good/with No dust-jacket as issued. 21.5 cm. The pamphlet shows light soiling and rubbing. There is a closed 10mm tear on front cover. The interior is clean and the pages and cover are still supple. Overall this is a very presentable item. Mr. Chapleau admonishes the Conservative Government on the hanging of Louis Riel. "No; the great danger with us is that we shall make a faction of the minority in this country, that we shall make what is called a close political alliance amongst ourselves, but in reality one which would be most unpatriotic and disastrous to the French Canadians."
