The Hague: Isaac Burchoorn, 1632. First Edition. Hardcover. Bookplate of Victor De Guinzbourg on front pastedown and early signature on original front endpaper. One leaf with closed tear, another leaf with old marginal paper repair of a short closed tear, mild and even age-toning but contents excellent with plates well struck with dark impressions. Near Fine copy of this beautifully illustrated book. Quarto (6-1/4" x 8-3/4") bound in modern smooth brown morocco-backed cloth, [16], 16, 168, 104, 56, 160, 24 pages. Text in Latin and Dutch. Illustrated with a frontispiece dated 1630 and 126 nearly full-page engravings by Matham after A. van de Venne.
