About This Item

New York: W. W. Norton, 1960. Stated First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good+/Very Good+. Henry B. Kane, Illustrator. Stated First Edition, SIGNED by the author, in unclipped original dust jacket. Clean blue cloth boards with gold lettering on spine. Slight fading to edges; bottom spine corners lightly bumped. Binding is tight and square, hinges are sound - no cracking. Pages and edges are clean. Inscribed and signed by author on front free endpaper as follows: "With all good wishes from John J. Rowlands." Near bottom of front free endpaper is brief gift inscription (to Mercie from Mildred - April 1961). Illustrated by Henry B. Kane. 232 pages. Clean dust jacket is not price clipped, has slight wear and short closed tears at spine ends. Enclosed in new archival quality removable mylar cover.

By the author of "Cache Lake Country", this is all about New England seacoast living, with all its special flavor--old shore houses, ancient landmarks, cranberry bogs, the seasons by the sea.
