About This Item
3 Volumes complete, 3639 pages; no markings, not ex-library. A little corner bumping and spines are tanned; a little stretching at heads of spines, but no fraying. Otherwise, volumes are in very good condition, with all pages tight, bright, intact and unmarked. Bindings absolutely sound.
Prof. Liberty Hyde Bailey's (1858-1954) classic and definitive work, probably best described by its ponderous subtitle:
a discussion, for the amateur, and the professional and commercial grower, of the kinds, characteristics and methods of cultivation of the species of plants grown in the regions of the United States and Canada for ornament, for fancy, for fruit and for vegetables; with keys to the natural families and genera, descriptions of the horticultural capabilities of the states and provinces and dependent islands, and sketches of eminent horticulturists.
These three volumes are heavy, and domestic shipping is $20.00; please enquire about international shipping.
