Edinburgh: William Blackwood & Sons Ltd, 1956. Minor creasing to edges of unclipped dustwrapper, back panel is a bit grubby; minor bumping to spine ends of blue boards, quite a lot of yellowing to the pages, otherwise a good clean tight copy of this hard-cover book. The fourth novel by the author, a light romantic comedy set in the Scottish highlands. The story deals with a former American film-star who finds himself in a remote Scottish village from whence his ancestors came. Not a typical subject for the author, who mostly wrote adventure stories under his own name and as "Gavin Black". This story originally appeared in the "Weekly Scotsman" as "The Maid of Glenharris". 162pp.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Good/Good. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.
