About This Item
London: Hollis and Carter, 1948. Second Impression . Hardcover. Very Good/Poor. The interior of the book is clean, with few signs of previous use. The paper has tanned slightly. The orange cloth covers are bright, with one small sunned spot on the bottom of the spine. The dust jacket is not in good condition. Overall, there is light edgewear and handling, and the bottom 2 inches of the spine is missing. The attached scan gives a better idea of condition. Synopsis: "Before the war, two English brothers and an American friend discover a nest of spies. After a series of startling adventures they fall into the hands of a German submarine commander and are taken to his secret headquarters on a lonely island. Here they manage to do a little spying on their own account and, taking thir lives in their hands, turn the tables on their captors".
