About This Item
London: T. Werner Laurie, 1951. Reprint (1st 1949), follows same author's "Stories from the Opera". Blue covers with gilt, 486pp inc index, with b/w photographs and colour frontis. Covers have only modest wear, bumping to head and foot of spine and damp marks at lower fore corners - this has not affected the text bloc. Page edges dusty and foxed, as are prelims. Otherewise internally clean and tight. Price-clipped DJ has photograph (frontis repeat) laid in, sunned spine and just modest general wear. Overall a decent copy. Ref:114728. Reprint. Cloth. G+/G+. 13x19cm.
