Stories of the Old Duck Hunters and Other Drivel, Gordon F. MacQuarrie, Stackpole "Easy-Chair" Books, Harrisburg, Pa 1967-
The Cover and text itself is in Very Good if not Fine! The Dust Jacket has definitely seen the inside of a cabin for awhile! Which truthfully is just as intended. However, the previous owner loved this edition so much, he just kept attempting to save the DJ.
We will include a complimentary Mylar cover with purchase.
This wonderful Story has been loved deeply in the past . Its Publisher, also known as "Easy-Chair" proved true for this historical edition. It has been greatly loved and read. Again, the pages are very good, there is a name inscribed in the upper right hand corner of the first inside front page Else Very good. The Dust Jacket does show wear of that love. A small piece is missing from the upper right hand area of the dust jacket (as showing in picture) and has been taped in places . All else very good.
Again, this is a book for folks who truly enjoy those evenings of rest, finally getting to sit down for possible the first time that day, and just enjoying a good book!

A little about the author:
Gordon MacQuarrie was an American writer and journalist. Born in Superior, Wisconsin, he is best known for his short stories involving hunting and fishing, and for his semi-fictional organization known as The Old Duck Hunters' Association, Inc.(ODHA, Inc.).
The Old Duck Hunters stories were originally published in various outdoor related periodicals of the early 20th Century. They were posthumously gathered into book form in three anthologies entitled: Stories of the Old Duck Hunters & Other Drivel, More Stories of the Old Duck Hunters, and Last Stories of the Old Duck Hunters.
From the bootk: "Until you have courted the bluebills in the snow, you have not tasted of the purer delights of waterfowling. Fat mallards over a sunny marsh are fine. Planing, twisting teal in early-season days are sporty. There is pleasure of many sorts in the harvest of autumn over the ducking grounds; but the Old Duck Hunters are extremely partial to the bitter last days, those stormy days when the wild, free things of duck shooting are abroad in the very wind with the storm..."
