When fully opened there is a pictorial map of the eastern United States showing the Pennsylvania Sugar Co. Refinery in Philadelphia, with inset maps of Cuba and Puerto Rico, bordered by step-by-step text detailing "Sugar Cane A Brief Story of the Raw Product Before It Reaches the United States" and "Refining Sugar A Trip Through the Modern Refinery of the Pennsylvania Sugar Co." Four panels of the verso include a smaller pictorial map highlighting India, China, Java, Hawaii, and the Philippine Islands on the left and Cuba and Puerto Rico at right, with text at center "Where Sugar Cane Comes From." The other four panels sing the praises of sugar: "Sweet Things to Make"; "These Goodies are Good for You" and "Sugar as a Food." Encouraging that craving... .
