A very, very nice copy.

FROM THE FORWARD: "The Story of Henderson County is a gift which its author, loyal to her heritage, has long conceived to be the most valuable contribution within her power to make to the people of her native county. Surely no other person could have recognized more keenly that the history of this county must be preserved, not only as a memorial to the heroic deeds of the pioneer settlers, but as an indispensable part of North Carolina's history, than has Sadie Smathers Patton, whose work in this behalf is presented in this volume. The idea of the book dates vaguely from that time in her early womanhood when she awakened to the consciousness of the fact that her actual knowledge of the people and happenings could be made the basis for an invaluable service to Henderson County."

Additional photographs available upon request. Full refund if not satisfied.
