History and development of the ocean liner with many photos of ships and some interiors. Color frontis by Henry C Stacy shows funnels and house flags of the great steamship lines. Spine and extremities sunned. Interior foxed. Solid and otherwise clean with small gilt ship on front cover and gilt spine titling.

Tired illustrated dust jacket chipped throughout. Soil, rubbing, short tears. One inch chip missing from lower rear edge. Looks better when placed in new protective mylar. Always carefully wrapped and shipped in cardboard boxes to protect your purchase.
