Liverpool: The Office of Cope's Tobacco Plant, 1893. Hardcover. Very Good+. Gilt-ruled half calf and marbled paper, gilt-stamped lettering in burgundy spine label. Original wraps bound in at rear. A pretty binding, just a little scuffed along joints and edges of boards. Previous owner's bookplate on front fly-leaf.

Description:
Liverpool: Office of "Cope's Tobacco Plant", 1893. First edition. Original color pictorial wrappers, covers designed and lettered in gold, red, green & black. Title page printed in 3 colors. Several plates at the front (3 are GOLF scenes) and numerous illustrations throughout. Some chipping at the spine ends, a bit of wear to edges, former owner's name and small ownership sticker in front, a very good copy. The inner rear cover bears a Cope's tobacco ad for SOLACE, with a red sticker affixed, as issued. Issued as Number Fourteen of Cope's Smoke Room Booklets.
